I joined Marilyn York’s family law office in 2011 after working as a paralegal in civil litigation for seven years. I’m originally from Paradise, California and graduated from California State University, Chico with a degree in Psychology.
My parents were married for over 40 years, before my dad passed away unexpectedly just after my twins were born. I was very close to both parents growing up and that’s why I believe it is important for both moms and dads to have an active role in their children’s lives. From having children, that means a lot to me.
As a paralegal, I find the fast-paced nature of our work, coupled with diversity of cases and client issues that are brought to this firm most interesting. Working in family law provides me a great deal of satisfaction because we help fathers secure their right to spend equal time with their children. Fathers should never give up when child visitation and custody is at stake.
My husband and I are kept busy with our three sons, including identical twins. The boys are actively involved in Boy Scouts and we all love to spend family time enjoying the outdoors, especially boating and camping on Pyramid Lake and some other places.
